The 2019/20 Chinese men’s Championship (Super League) will restart on August 20. The matches will be held under the coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures. Thus, after seven months, volleyball will be played in this Asian country again. On January 19, the first round of the regular season kicked off but the competition was suspended due to the pandemic soon afterward.
The CVA decided to adopt strict rules of the championship whose encounters will be held behind closed doors and without foreign players. Their contracts have expired, while due to the epidemic situation across the world, those who signed contracts in the meantime won’t be called to join their respective clubs.
Relatively soon after the 2019/20 Super League comes to an end, the new season will set off – in autumn, with the participation of foreign players, and will end at the beginning of 2021, giving the opportunity to foreigners to find new clubs for the finish of the season.
