Defeating Fino Kaposvár by a 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-22) in the 2021 final in Budapest, LV Sport Pénzügyőr SE managed to win back-to-back Hungarian Men’s Magyar Kupa, which are the only titles in the competition overall of the team from the country’s capital. Interestingly, the Pénzügyőr head coach Zoltán Jókay lifted the Hungarian Cup for the 10th time in his career (8 with women’s club Vasas Óbuda and 2 with men’s club Pénzügyőr).
Zoltán Kovács highlighted Pénzügyőr in the final with 21 points (74 % attack, 20/27). Brazilian Bruno Feliciano Jorge ’Bruninho’ made 79 % reception (14 digs, 2 errors, 57 % excellent). Russian Vitaliy Melnikov scored 16 points for Kaposvár, while Bence Bozóki had 82 % reception (17 digs, 2 errors, 59 % excellent).
