Sliedrecht Sport have won the Dutch women’s title for the 6th time with a convincing 3-0 victory over Apollo 8 in the playoff final series of the 2020/21 Eredivisie.
Sliedrecht were clear favorites in the title face-off, having lost only one of 11 games in the regular season (counting the top 4). Their already strong roster was strengthened with one of the best liberos in the world, Kirsten Knip, in the mid-season. Led by the league’s 2nd-best scorer Fleur Savelkoel, Sliedrecht didn’t only sweep the series against Apollo 8 but won all 3 games in straight sets, winning the 4th national title in a row.
