The home team devastated its opponent with strong and effective serves to dominate the game from start to finish with an outstanding work by Meliza Vargas with 15 points followed by Sulian Matienzo with 13. Josefa Izquierdo was the best of Chile with 9 points.

Marilín Pagés, captain of the Caribbean team, said “we knew them and the attack went well as also the game at the net, the serve also is fundamental to succeed.”

The coach of Chile, Hugo Jauregui, agreed with the opinion of the Cuban player. “Their serve and reception were very good and that hurt us.”
