USA players celebrate the victory against Poland
The victory means USA to play Brazil for the second time in the semifinal after they met before in the Pool C stage, while Poland made it to the 5 to 8 standings against Japan.
Alexa Smith was USA’s best scorer with 13 points followed by Mikaela Foecke 11, and from Poland four players; Malgorzata Smieszek, Kornelia Moskwa and Kornelia and Magdalena Damaske scored 10 points each.
