Haiti are hoping to compete at the NORCECA Youth and Junior qualification tournaments for the first time
The course began last Friday with 53 participants and these were whittled down to 16 players in each category (men’s and women’s junior and girls’ and boys’ youth) after two-and-a-half days of training.
It is hoped they will compete at their respective NORCECA qualification tournaments for the World Championships, which will be a first for the country.
However, despite the potential, HVF are keen to also develop the coaches that work with the players, whilst also maintaining a solid foundation for the grassroots of the game.
