Coming from behind in the third set by five points, hosts Mexico prevailed as Venezuela wanted to extend the match a little longer. Mexico is the only team undefeated with a 2-0 win-loss record while Venezuela drops to 0-2.
Mexicans had superiority by 40-28 in spikes and 4-3 in service points, and Venezuela was better in blocking by 8-3.
Samuel Cordova scored 11 points including 3 blocks for the Mexican team and Tomas Aguilera tallied 10 all in spikes. Venezuela`s Luis Arias was their best scoring 14 points.
