The coach of Thailand said that he coached for 16 years and that he never beat Russia until Sunday.
The win against European champions is proof that volleyball in this country from Asia is improved. It’s not easy to beat a team such as Russia. You have to work for a years, to build a team and again you can’t be sure that you are strong enough to compete with Russia.
But, Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai finally did it. He is proud of it and we believe that fans in Thailand are proud too.
The two Thais in the ideal squad were Onuma Sittirak as second receiver and Pleumjit Thinkaow as the second middle-blocker. This is another proof of volleyball improvement in Thailand.
Let’s see how Thai girls took historic last two points against Yuri Marichev’s team.
