MEVZA M: Hypo Tirol fetchs the MEVZA-title

In the last five years Ljubljana was four time MEL-champion. At once, for Hypo Tirol Saturday’s victory was the retribution for last year’s defeat at home. Hypo-Headcoach Stefan Chrtiansky was comfortable with his team’s achievement: “This was volleyball at his best! Each one of the team demonstrated his best. We are a top final’s worthy victor.

ACH Volley LJUBLJANA, by the way, is still represented in an European Cup competition. After the third place in the Champions-League group stage they qualified for the CEV Cup and advanced in the semi-final.

Prior to this Mladost Marina KASTELA (CRO) won versus host Chemes Humenne in five sets (17:25/26:24/28:26/18:25/15:13). 1100 spectators visited the Bronze medal game of the MEL Men Final four. Already in the semi-final the Slovaks abandoned the field to Hypo Tirol after five sets.
