The last season’s bronze medalists of the Iranian Men’s Volleyball Championship, Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan, want to go all the way in 2021/22.
After hiring Farhad Ghaemi, who is in the spotlight of media in the country after controversial statements regarding the national team head coach Vladimir Alekno, from Labanyat Haraz Amol (he spent the first half of the last season in Qatar’s Al Rayyan SC), Sepahan engaged Amir Ghafour.
The starting opposite hitter of Iran Men came from Turkey’s Bursa B.şehir Bld. which he reinforced in the mid-season from Italian giants Cucine Lube Civitanova. A 30-year-old player is the well-known name of Iran’s volleyball, who was involved in winning three Asian Championship titles with the national team (2011, 2013, and 2019). In the second conquest of the competition, Ghafour was named Best Spiker, while in the third, he was named Best Opposite Hitter.
