Behrouz Ataei will remain the Iran Men’s Volleyball National Team head coach for two more years.
Ataei, who replaced Vladimir Alekno on the bench of the Iran Men after the Tokyo Olympics as a temporary solution and led the team to the gold medal at the recently closed Asian Championship, will stay on the helm.
A 51-year-old expert, who has been involved in the national team activities, either as the assistant coach and head coach, of various age categories signed a two-year deal with the Iranian federation (IRIVF). Ataei commanded the Iran U21 to win the FIVB World Championship in 2019 and the Asian Junior Championship a year before that.
