The 19-time Romanian Women’s Volleyball Championship winners, CS Rapid București, engaged one of the two (in)famous Korean Lee sisters.

It has been officially announced that Lee Da-Yeong will be playing in Romania next season. The 25-year-old setter has signed with Rapid, the 19-time country’s champions, who won the last title 16 years ago. Until February 2021, she and her sister Jae-Yeong were considered big Korean volleyball stars, but then the controversy over school violence they committed, as well as the domestic violence of Da-Yeong, came to light and they received an indefinite suspension from the club they played for at the moment, Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders, and Korean federation. They were forced to play the 2021-22 season abroad, and both have chosen Greece’s PAOK Thessaloniki, which is the transfer in which the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) had to interfere.
Unlike Jae-Yeong, who returned home early due to a knee injury, Da-Yeong completed the season in Greece. Given that no Korean club showed the interest to sign the Lee sisters, the setter once again embarked on an adventure overseas.
