KOR W: Inneh-Varga’s 56 points through 102 attacks not enough for KGC – Hyundai get saved in tie-break

For years, the South Korean Women’s Volleyball Championship (men’s as well) has been known for some insane scoring numbers by players. So is the case this season…

Hyundai E&C Hillstate remained the leader of the 2022–23 Women’s V-League after six rounds. The Suwon club needed the tie-break to get the better of KGC Ginseng Corporation, being tested by the monstrous performance of the Hungarian opposite, Elizabet Inneh-Varga. The 23-year-old player, who’s playing her second successive season in Korea, finished the match against Hyundai with 56 points scored (54-102 in attack)!

A huge number, which, put Inneh-Varga in the top 5 of the unofficial world’s single-match scorers list for women.
