The club competitions have commenced for women’s volleyball, and this year’s Super Cup of Serbia has been claimed by Jedinstvo from Stara Pazova. In the finals held in Lazarevac, Jedinstvo outplayed Ub with a score of 3-1. The match lasted for a nail-biting 100 minutes with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, and 25-23.
This face-off was a fitting continuation of the fierce rivalry between the two teams, which last year vied for top honors. While Jedinstvo triumphed in the matches for the Serbian Championship title, Ub celebrated their victory in the Serbian Cup final. This time around, the trophy went to Jedinstvo again.
Among the standout performers for the winning team were Tamara Miljević, who scored a whopping 26 points, and Una Vajagić with 20 points. They were ably supported by Mina Dragović with 11 points, Minja Osmajić with nine, and both Ivana Nedeljković and Branka Tici contributing five points each.
On the opposing side, Ub’s top performer was Alfonso Benitez Anet, who netted 23 points. She was well-supported by Anica Kutlešić, who scored 13 points, and Anđelka Novosel, who added 12 points to the tally.
In the 11 matches of the Serbian Super Cup played so far in women’s volleyball, Vizura has emerged as the winner 5 times. Železničar from Lajkovac and Jedinstvo from Stara Pazova have both triumphed twice, while Ub and Crvena zvezda have each secured one title.
