Jedinstvo Stara Pazova clinched their second title in the Women’s Serbian National Cup. Meanwhile, Vojvodina Novi Sad continued their dominance in the men’s league by securing a record 16th title. The finals, held in Obrenovac, drew an enthusiastic crowd of approximately 2,500 spectators.
Jedinstvo Stara Pazova, making a notable appearance after their historic debut in the pool stage of the elite women’s Champions League earlier this season, emerged victorious against the tournament hosts, Tent Obrenovac. The thrilling women’s final match concluded with a score of 3-2 (25-14, 28-30, 14-25, 25-16, 16-14) after a grueling 132 minutes of play.
On the men’s side, Vojvodina claimed victory over Mladi Radnik Požarevac with a score of 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21) in a match that lasted 121 minutes. The win further solidified Vojvodina’s position as a powerhouse in Serbian men’s volleyball.
Una Vajagić, the outside hitter for Jedinstvo, and Žarko Ubiparip, playing the same role for Vojvodina, were recognized as the best players in their respective finals.
