Maja Ognjenović, captain of the Serbian women’s national team, will be the flag bearer for Serbia at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The decision was made by the Serbian Olympic Committee’s Executive Board, which also selected water polo player Dušan Mandić as a flag bearer. This will be Ognjenović’s fifth consecutive Olympic appearance. She previously won a silver medal in Rio 2016 and a bronze in Tokyo 2021. The opening ceremony will take place on July 26, 2024, with the women’s volleyball tournament running from July 28 to August 11, and the men’s tournament from July 27 to August 10.
