One of Europe’s most promising volleyball players, Slovenian Mija Šiftar, surprised the volleyball community with her sudden departure from Germany. After just a week of training with Stuttgart, last season’s champions, she left the team. The club announced the contract termination, stating it was initiated by Šiftar.
The 18-year-old athlete, who recently secured a spot with Slovenia for the upcoming European and World Championships, confirmed for Slovenian Sportklub that her team is already looking for a new club, dismissing any concerns about injuries.
