CRO W: League-Leading Mladost Cruises Past Ribola Kastela in Derby Clash

HAOK Mladost Zagreb tightened its grip on first place in the SuperSport Superliga on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Ribola Kastela in a marquee matchup.

The league leaders won 28-26, 25-22, 25-18 in 92 minutes, overturning a late deficit in the opening set. Ribola led 24-20 and held multiple set points before Mladost responded with a decisive run to claim the set 28-26. Mladost carried that momentum into the second set, building a 20-15 advantage and holding off a late push from the hosts to win 25-22. The third set was more straightforward, as the visitors maintained control to close it out 25-18.

Pamella Owino led Mladost with 21 points, while Nina Strize scored 17 for Ribola. Mladost finished with a 49-34 edge in attack points and an 11-9 advantage in blocks.

In other matches, Osijek defeated Brda 25-20, 25-17, 25-20 at home. Nebo swept Veli Vrh 25-22, 25-21, 26-24, surviving a late rally in the third set. Dubrovnik earned a 3-2 road win over Kelteks (25-13, 16-25, 16-25, 25-15, 25-10), pulling away in the deciding set to seal the match.
