Maritza dropped only three sets across 26 matches and carried that form into the playoffs, sweeping Slaviya Sofia in the quarterfinals and defeating CSKA Sofia in straight matches in the semifinals.

The final series against Levski Sofia was equally one-sided, as the Plovdiv side completed a 3-0 sweep. The title-clinching match, played before a full home crowd, saw Maritza cruise to a straight-sets victory.

Opposite hitter Iva Dudova was named MVP of the finals.

Maritza also won the Bulgarian Cup earlier this season, marking its ninth straight triumph in that competition.

CSKA Sofia took bronze after defeating CPVK Sofia in the third-place series.

Result: Maritza Plovdiv bt Levski Sofia 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-12)
