In the first set, Netherlands simply smashed their rival. Portugal’s coach managed to wake up his players but only to give stronger resistance.
Robin Overbeeke (NED) and Valdir Sequeira (POR) were the top scorers of the game with 15 points each. The Dutch player Dick Kooy added 12.
