In the other two games, Cuba defeated Puerto Rico in a very uncertain game by 3-2 (18-25, 26-24, 25-20, 21-25, 15-12). Maurice Torres (PUR) was the scoring leader of the game with 24 points while Cuban Rolando Cepeda finished with 22.
Mexico took the first win by beating Colombia in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 26-24).
