Maribor
In women’s category, Maribor has defeated Luka Koper in the final match in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-14) and seized the 14th Slovenian Cup in history. It seems that the participation on strong Gloria Cup helped Maribor players to be fully ready for this competition, and young Iza Mlakar shined in the final match scoring 18 points. She was voted as the MVP of the tournament.
In men’s category ACH Volley has outplayed Salonit Anhovo 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-16) and returned the Cup trophy to club’s cupboard after one year of absence. The MVP of the tournament was Nathan Roberts who scored 22 points in the final match. This was the 9th time in history that ACH Volley has won the Slovenian Cup.
