Shanghai
In the second leg of semifinal clash in Chinese championship, Shanghai was even more persuasive against Beijing comparing to the first match – 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-18).
Thus, Beijing lost its chance to defend last season’s title. Recall, these two teams met in last year’s finals.
After beating the rival in four sets in first leg, to the straight victory in the second leg, Shanghai was led by Dai Qingyao with 14 points. He was followed by the foreign duo – Serbian Nikola Kovačević and Italian Cristian Savani, each scored 12.
In Beijing, the American William Price had 11 while Serbian Nemanja Jakovljević collected 9.
Shandong is another participant of the finals after it beat Jiangsu easily, in three sets, with partial 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.
This means that Shandong already made one step further than last season when it won 3rd place.
Ji Daoshuai and Geng Xin share the title of the best scorer in the winning team with 14 points while Yuan Panchen had the same performance in Jiangsu.
