Slovenia – Portugal
In Maribor, the home team of Slovenia was superb against Portugal (31-29, 25-20, 25-17) in the first leg of additional qualifications for the 2015 European Championship which will be held in Bulgaria and Italy, in September.
The rematch is scheduled in one week in Portugal.
Mitja Gašparini scored 15 points for Slovenia. João José had 11 in Portugal.
Estonian players offered a real treat for their fans in the ice hockey hall “Tondiraba Arena” in Tallinn by defeating Sweden in the first match of qualifiers for ECH – 3-1 (20-25, 26-24, 28-26, 25-23).
Nils Nilsson’s 32 points weren’t enough for the Swedes. Oliver Venno collected 24 in Estonia.
The second leg will be played in Sweden, on May 31.
