SEAG M: Thailand and Vietnam to battle for gold

Thailand and Vietnam will play in the final of the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.

Thai team swept out Indonesia in straight sets, in a rerun of the 2013 finals and it will have the opportunity to defend the gold medal from the previous tournament.

Kittikun Sri-Utthawong with 15 and Jirayu Raksakaew with 12 points led Thailand to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-16) semifinal victory.

In the Semifinal 2, Vietnam, the bronze medalist from the previous Southeast Asian Games had a slightly harder task against Myanmar 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-21).

Thuận Tử Thần had 18 and Hoàng Thương Nguyễn collected 15 points in Veitnam.

The gold medal match is scheduled for June 16 in „OCBC Arena“ in Singapore.
