After five amazing sets Poland has defeated Serbia in the first semifinals of the European Games in Baku and will play for the gold medal.

Poland won the first set after few points in row while Serbia had a leadership until 21-19 but unfortunately lost this period of game with 25-23.

In the second set the team of coach Zoran Terzić played much better, especially in receive and block and they finished set 20-25.

Somehow, Poland has returned to the game, and won the third set took quite easy. Zaroślińska was the best player in the Polish team while Skowronska was perfect in the important moments – 25-19.

In the fourth set after the first technical time out, when Poland led 8-5, Serbia started to play its game and equalized on 2-2 (22-25).

With 5-2 Poland opened tie-break and all the time was with three points more. At the end the result was 15-12.

Top players: Zaroślińska 27, Skowronska-Dolata 15, Werblinska 14; Mihajlović 25, Nikolić 18, Malešević 16, Rašić 16

In the final Poland will play against winner of the match Turkey – Azerbaijan.
