Puerto Rico produced a big surprise in opening day of Pool B by defeating USA 3-1 while Canada‘s men enjoyed a great debut at home getting a comfortable straight-set 3-0 over Mexico.
In the last match of the day but also in Pool A Facundo Conte recorded 25 points to lead Argentina to a 3-1 victory over Cuba.
