Las Reinas Del Caribe defeated their neighbours from Cuba in straight sets. Captain Brayelin Elizabeth Martinez paced the Dominicans with 15 points and Gaila Gonzalez added 12 points. Cuba was led by Yelennis Casanova 10 points.
Bulgaria downed Colombia 3-0 to secure their first win in Ankara. Colombia showed their huge potential but eventually couldn’t stop Bulgaria’s strong offense. Silvana Chausheva led the winners with 17 points.
Today,Thailand won 3-1 against Peru and in that way scored the first win at the competition.
