WC M: Home crowd ecstatic, Japan blows Canada away!

The host Japan played like in trance against Canada, finishing the clash of Round 4 at the 2015 FIVB World Cup in straight sets, unexpectedly, 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-21).

Canada was in the game only in the third set, but ahter 15-all, Japanese team went up front, giving joy to packed stands in Hiroshima’s „Green Arena“.

Statistically, Japan was better in serving 3-0 and blocking 7-5 but the segment that brought the win to the home team were the points from opponent’s errors 27-16.

Kunihiro Shimizu led Japanese scorers with 17 points while Canadian Gavin Schmitt had only 9, not enough for a player of his reputation.
