The Finnish expert announced the final squad of 14 players that will compete in the continental championship in Italy and Bulgaria (October 9-18).
Sammelvuo decided to delete one of the outside hitters/receivers from the wide list – Eemeli Kouki. The head coach of Finland will take Niklas Seppänen to Eurovolley instead of him.
It is going to be the fifth participation of Finland at a continental tournament in a row. Interestingly, five players from the newest list performed in all of them: Antti Siltala, Olli Kunnari, Urpo Sivula, Mikko Oivanen and Konstantin Shumov.

Setters: Ville Juntura, Eemi Tervaportti; Opposites: Mikko Oivanen, Olli-Pekka Ojansivu; Receivers/outside hitters: Olli Kunnari, Niklas Seppänen, Antti Siltala, Urpo Sivula; Middle blockers: Jukka Lehtonen, Konstantin Shumov, Tommi Siirilä, Sauli Sinkkonen; Liberos: Pasi Hyvärinen, Lauri Kerminen.
