Bayi
Bayi made, perhaps, a decisive break after beating away Tianjin 3-1 (25-21, 14-25, 25-15, 25-17) and taking 2-1 lead in series. Everything looked differently on the first day of 2016 when Tianjin celebrated win as visitors in the first match.
Liu Yanhan showed perfect display with 26 points for Bayi. Wang Yunlu added 17. In Tianjin, the Cuban Nancy Carrillo had 20, while Zhang Xiaoting had 12.
As for the other semifinal pair, Shanghai missed their opportunity to end series and qualify for the finals.
Jiangsu reduced Shanghai’s lead to 2-1 with outstanding performance of Zhang Changning. She finished game with 32 points and was followed by Xu Ruoya with 14.
Canadian Sarah Pavan was once again the best player in Shanghai (24 points) with insufficient support from other players.
