No matter on the strength of Tianjin and their foreign players, a three-game sweep would not be a realistic picture of finals.
Jiangsu were hosts for the first time in series knowing they had to neutralize main power of Tianjin, the Cuban opposite Nancy Carrillo, in order to win. And they did it – she scored only 12 points and was the most efficient figure in her team.
On Jiangsu’s side, Zhangh Changning and Xu Ruoya collected 16 points each.
Shanghai took bronze medal by beating Bayi in fourth game of 3rd place series 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19) thanks to 28 points from Croatian Senna Ušić-Jogunica.
