Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders will fight for pole position in the Korean V-League before playoffs until the final round. For that, they need a good foreign player.

Since only American players are in consideration to reinforce Korean clubs this season, Pink Spiders replaced injured Taylor Simpson with her compatriot Alexis Olgard!

Simpson suffered foot injury at the beginning of February and since it was evaluated that she won’t be able to finish the season, Pink Spiders hired the University of Southern California (USC) graduate, Alexis Olgard.

After leaving college volleyball, the middle blocker Olgard joined German VT Aurubis Hamburg (see her stats) in previous season, which she finished in the team from Philippines, Philips Gold Lady Slammers.

Olgard made her debut today, in Pink Spiders’ win over leaders IBK Altos 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23). She scored 13 points being the fourth best scorer of her team. The best scorer was Lee Jae-Yeong with 21. On the other side, American Elizabeth McMahon had 30 points.
