POR M: Bastardo interrupt domination of Benfica by claiming second ever title

Bastardo downed reigning champions Sport Lisboa e Benfica (three titles in a row) on road by 3-2 (28-30, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19, 15 -13) in Game 5 of playoff finals and won series 3-2.

Russian Aleksey Cheremisin was the best scorer of Bastardo in a decisive game with 26 points while Brazilian Flávio Soares ‘Zelão’ collected 21 in Benfica.

Before winning this season’s championship title, Bastardo were title holders one more time, in 2010/2011.
