China used the home court advantage in Pool A to score all three wins and to collect maximum 9 points during the opening weekend of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2016. The Red squad defeated Thailand and Germany in straight sets, while in the last round they downed USA in four sets!
Zhu Ting was the top scorer of the winning side with 17 points, while Changning Zhang and Xiangyu Gong added 15 points each. On the other side, Foluke Akinradewo made 16 points for the USA team.
