In Group 2 finals in Varna, Bulgaria, Dominican ladies incredibly returned to the match after being two sets down against Poland 3-2 (21-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-11).
The tie-break was a shooters showdown between Yonkaira Peña on one side and Berenika Tomsia on the other and was decided when Dominican Republic made 4-0 run at 10-10.
Brayelin Martínez topped Dominican scorers with 24 points. Berenika Tomsia had 28 points in Poland.
