In the finals of the Group 2 Canada defeated the host team Portugal 3-0 (25:19, 25:22, 25:15) after 73 minutes of play.
The best scorer of the match was John Gordon Perrin with 19 points followed Nicholas Hoag 14. On the other side Alexandre Ferreira led Portugal with 11 points while Gil ended match with 6 points.
The only Canadian defeat in the World League this season was suffered against Finland on 3 July.
