Newly promoted head coach Sherif El Shemerly, who succeeded Italian Flavio Gulinelli one month ago, will cross out one player from the list just before the start of the Olympics.
Egypt will participate for the fifth time in the Olympic indoor volleyball tournament (August 6-21) and have been drawn into Pool B where will face Poland, Russia, Iran, Argentina and Cuba.

Opposites – Ahmed Salah, Ahmed Kotb, Reda Heikal
Middle blockers – Mamdouh Abdelmoneim, Abdelhalim Ebo, Mohamed Adel
