AC W: Korea – Hong Kong 3:1

Korea

Korea

After winning the first two sets 25-12 and 25-14, Korea rested their best players and instead fielded substitutions to give them a chance to gain experience and exposure.

Hong Kong, spearheaded by hard-hitting Law Ho Fung Thyllis, gradually pulled their game together to stun the Koreans in the close third set 25-23.

Relying on their substitutions, Korea made amends for the loss by coming on at full steam. With Shin Yeon-gyeong and Lee Jae-yeong attacking fiercely and Kim Ye-Ji and Lee Da-yeong producing solid blocking, Korea captured the set 25-17 and won the match.

Lee Jae-yeong scored 13 points, the highest for Korea, while Koo Yung Yung led Hong Kong with 12 points.
