TRANSFER BOMB: Jan Štokr signs 3-year deal with Liberec!

What a news for the fans of VK Dukla Liberec!

 

One of the best opposites in Europe, Jan Štokr, will wear the jersey of the Czech bronze medalists Liberec in the next three years. Thus, last season’s member of Italian runners-up and also CEV Cup winners Diatec Trentino will return to the homeland after 13 years! In the season 2003/2004 he wore the jersey of Kladno volejbal cz before starting his adventure abroad.

During his amazing career, a 34-year-old Štokr took Italian Championship and Cup two times each, Czech Championship and Cup one-time each, CEV Champions League once and FIVB Club World Championship three-times. Individually, Štokr earned MVP award in Italian Championship and Supercup once each, Best Spiker award in the FIVB Club World Championship once, Best Czech Player award two times and MVP award in Emir Cup one time.

Besides Štokr, Liberec extended the contract with Czech NT captain Aleš Holubec, who came from French side Nantes Rezé Métropole Volley.
