WAGNER MEMORIAL: France win another tie-breaker, Russia drop 2-1 lead!

The World League 2017 winners are definitely ready to defend the European Championship crown!

After beating the host team Poland yesterday in five sets, Team Yavbou has won another tie-break. Now, the Russian team lost the game after dropping 2-1 lead in sets.

Shlyapnikov’s side was in a good position to finish the game in four sets, but France have managed to make comeback and later in the tie-break to win the game.

The top scorers of the game were Lyneel and Boyer both with 19 points.

France will play the last game against Canada, and if they win it, they will claim the gold.

Wagner Memorial, the second day:

Poland – Canada 3-0 (36-34, 25-20, 26-24)

France – Russia 3-2 (21-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 15-10)

The first day:

Canada – Russia 1-3 (23-25, 25-27, 25-22, 17-25)

Poland – France 2-3 (25-22, 16-25, 20-25, 25-22, 13-15)
