India overcame Thailand 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 25-20) to finish seventh. Sandeep Kumar of India was top scorer with 16 points from spikes, while for Thailand, Nanbook Kon scored 16 points. Head coach of India Abhimanyu Singh was very dissatisfied with their results as he said “We had expected to finish fourth. We did not play well.”
