Stroitel MINSK
Stroitel MINSK were highly motivated as last year they lost the national league title for the first time after sweeping seven in a row – whereas national league winners Shakhtior SOLIGORSK were determined to prove that their historic success did not come by accident.
On top of this, the head coach of Shakhtior, Viktar Beksha recently took over the men’s national team of Belarus, stepping in for Aliaksandr Sinhayeuski – who remains at the helm of Stroitel MINSK.
Stroitel defeated Shakhtior with 3-1 (25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18) to claim the trophy.
