Grupa Azoty Chemik Police didn’t allow IŁ Capital Legionovia Legionowo, the most pleasant surprise of the 2021/22 Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship, to record the 11th win in a row.
Not many thought before the beginning of the 2021/22 TAURON Liga that the match between Chemik and Legionovia in Round 16 will be labeled as the big match. However, unlike the first part of the season, the latter launched a huge winning streak in the league that consisted of 10 games and came in 3rd in the charts. Unfortunately for their fans, Legionovia failed to record the 11th win in a row and approach very close to the rivals from which they lost today, the vice-leaders Chemik, in the charts. The titleholders celebrated a straight-set triumph, just like in the first part of the season, and escaped Legionovia by 7 points now.
Serbian Jovana Brakočević-Canzian top-scored Chemik with 20 points. Agnieszka Kąkolewska had 4 blocks.
