PGE Rysice Rzeszów announced a significant change in its coaching staff. The 2023/24 season will mark the conclusion of Stéphane Antiga’s tenure as the head coach of the Polish volleyball powerhouse. The French coach has been at the helm of the team since 2019.
Antiga’s journey with Rzeszów began in May 2019, a period marked by notable achievements. Prior to this, he had an impressive coaching career, leading the Polish men’s volleyball team to the World Championship in 2014. His resume also includes stints with the Canadian national team from 2017 to 2018 and the Onico Warsaw from 2017 to 2019.
At Rzeszów, Antiga ventured into women’s volleyball for the first time. Under his guidance, the team has flourished, securing the Polish vice-championship four times, along with victories in the Polish Cup and two Polish Super Cup titles. Additionally, they made it twice to the quarterfinals of the prestigious Champions League.
As the current season progresses, it will be the last chapter of Antiga’s journey with PGE Rysice Rzeszów.
