POL M: Zawiercie Too Strong for Resovia, Jastrzębski Węgiel Win at Home

Asseco Resovia Rzeszów couldn’t find their rhythm and fell 0-3 to Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in a much-anticipated Round 7 PlusLiga clash. After starting the season with five wins, Resovia now suffer a second straight loss, while the “Jurassic Knights” stay on top of the table with their seventh victory, helped by two matches played in advance.

Karol Butryn led Resovia with 12 points. For Aluron, Aaron Russell scored 17, and MVP Bartosz Kwolek added 13 with an impressive 65% attack success. The visitors were sharper in attack (40%–50%), fired 13 aces, and controlled the net. Errors were high on both sides: 26 from the hosts and 23 from Zawiercie.

In the other Round 7 match, JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel beat InPost ChKS Chełm 3-1. The first three sets were tight, but Jastrzębie confidently closed the fourth.

Top scorers for JSW were Adam Lorenc (18), Miran Kujundzić (16), and Michał Gierżot (10). Chełm’s best were Amirhossein Esfandiar (21), Remigiusz Kapica (17), and Tomasz Piotrowski (13). The biggest difference came from errors: 30 for Chełm, 20 for the hosts. MVP went to Lorenc, who posted 52% in attack plus an ace and two blocks.
