POL M: Resovia overpower Warsaw; Olsztyn silence Ergo Arena

Round 17 of the PlusLiga produced two very different stories, with a dominant home win in Rzeszów and a dramatic upset in Gdańsk.

Asseco Resovia Rzeszów once again had the upper hand against PGE Projekt Warszawa, claiming a clear 3–0 victory. The team from Rzeszów controlled the match from the opening whistle, winning in straight sets. Karol Butryn led the scoring with 20 points and was named MVP. The result lifted Resovia to third place in the standings, while Projekt dropped from the league lead.

In the closing match of the round, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn pulled off a hard-fought 3–2 win away to Energa Trefl Gdańsk. Olsztyn took the first two sets, but the hosts fought back to force a tie-break. The deciding set went down to the wire, with the visitors edging it 18-16 to hand Trefl their first home loss of the season. Karol Borkowski earned the MVP award, while Aliaksei Nasevich finished as the match’s top scorer.
