Problems with the injury intensified during the playoffs so player of Chemik Police eventually acepted the fact that surgery is necessary.
“I have been putting off the surgery for a while. I tried every other method – injections, various rehabilitation programs… But, nothing has changed. My knee has been all swelled after the finals, so I had to make a decision” said Weblinska and added:
“I could not fight the pain anymore. Especially when I know that there will be many intensive games in the Champions League in the next season. I have to be fully functional.”
The surgery went fine and Werblinska was released from hospital. She will start rehabilitation program immediately, and it is presumed to last for month and a half.
