POL M: Zawiercie Hold Firm at the Top, Lublin Secure Away Win

Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie continued their strong run in PlusLiga with a 3–0 victory over Ślepsk Malow Suwałki in Round 23, winning 25:23, 25:19, 25:17 to record their 17th triumph of the season.

The opening set was the most competitive, with Warta forced to chase the score before edging ahead in the closing moments. Once in front, the league leaders took control, proving more effective in attack (45% to 35%) and dominant in blocking (9–3). Bartosz Kwolek and Aaron Russell each finished with 15 points. Kwolek earned MVP honors after delivering 13 kills from 26 attempts (50%), adding two blocks and posting 77% positive reception. Henrique Honorato was Suwałki’s top scorer with 10 points.

In other match of the day, Bogdanka LUK Lublin claimed an important 3–1 road win against Indykpol AZS Olsztyn (25:18, 25:16, 24:26, 25:20). The third set brought late drama, as Olsztyn fought back from 21:24 with four consecutive aces from Moritz Karlitzek, who ended the night with 24 points.

Lublin, however, regrouped to close out the match. Wilfredo Leon matched Karlitzek’s 24 points and was named MVP after hitting at 65% efficiency, while also contributing three aces and a block. With both teams starting the match level on 39 points, Lublin’s win moves them three points clear and into third place in the standings.
