Wilfredo Leon scored 32 points and was named MVP as Bogdanka LUK Lublin defeated Cuprum Stilon Gorzów 3-2 in a tightly contested PlusLiga Round 24 match decided in a fifth-set tie-break.
Bogdanka won 30-28, 23-25, 28-30, 25-23, 15-11 after more than two hours of back-and-forth volleyball. The defending Polish champions secured the result by pulling away late in the deciding set, holding off a determined Stilon side that once again challenged a higher-ranked opponent.
Leon led the hosts with 25 kills on 46 swings for a 54% attack rate. He added six aces and one block, finished with 41% positive reception and posted a +22 efficiency rating. His all-around performance proved decisive in key moments.
Chizoba Neves Atu matched Leon with 32 points for Cuprum Stilon. He recorded 26 successful attacks from 44 attempts for 59% efficiency, along with four aces and two blocks, ending with a +21 rating. His scoring kept the visitors within reach throughout the match.
Hilir Henno contributed 17 points for Bogdanka, while Aleks Grozdanov added 14. For Stilon, Kamil Kwasowski finished with 16 points.
